There’s no doubting that Jeremy Clarkson is a divisive character. The news of his axing from Top Gear in 2016 sent the automotive world into a meltdown. On one hand, cyclists, environmentalists and the UK transport minister were delighted, on the other, staunch supporters of Clarkson were dismayed. Irrespective of your opinion on the controversial motoring journalist, there’s one thing that can’t be denied—his passion.

Think of this short film as the unadulterated artistic expression that goes into describing the thing you are truly passionate about.

An ode to the Aston Martin V12 Vantage, this video confirms everything we already knew- Top Gear Was Art. Bravo Clarkson, thanks for the memories.

“Well… It’s an Aston Martin Vantage with a V12 Engine. So, what do you think it’s going to be like?”

“It is fantastic. It’s wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.”

“What it makes me feel though, is sad. I just can’t help thinking that thanks to all sorts of things; the environment, the economy, problems in the Middle East, the relentless war on speed. Car’s like this will soon be consigned to the history books.”

“I just had this horrible, dreadful feeling, that what I’m driving here- Is an ending.”
