Lamborghini’s Latest SUV is Spied for the First Time

Lamborghini Urus

We also know what it’s called. Sitting down with Digital Trends this week, Lamborghini’s CEO confirmed their crossover, due to go into production in April this year, will be named Urus. He also claims that it’s a proper off roader, and judging by the photos captured by CarAdvice earlier this week, it’s got the looks to go with the sporting credentials of its supercar brethren.

The new Audi RS3 Will Have Some Serious Muscle

If the Audi RS3 didn’t already have a reputation as the world’s most Bats**t insane hot hatch, it does now. Equipped with a new 400hp, 2.9L 5 Cylinder engine, Audi claim the 2018 RS3, due to launch at Geneva next month, can push 280km/h and do the 0-100 sprint in 4.2 seconds.

All of that, and you get Apple Car, Traffic Jam assist, and all the other Audi goodies you’ve come to expect. Sheesh.

The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Convertible is Revealed

Merc teased something about a new edition of the G65 the other day, touting it as the next big step in the line’s heritage after the release of the 6×6 G65 last year. Now , they’ve teamed up with Maybach for their new edition, which is clearly going to be a favourite of both sheiks and top-tier footballers worldwide.

Mercedes Maybach 2

It’ll still be powered by Mercedes’ 6.0L Twin-Turbo V12 plant, but it looks to be stretched out and enhanced with things only Maybach could get away with, like huge carbon-fibre wheel arches and a folding canvas roof. Only 99 will be made, none of which will make it to Australia, predictably.

Chevy Tease a Mean-Looking GT4 Camaro

Camaro GT4

Speaking of sketches, Chevrolet have unveiled a new rendering of their upcoming GT4 racer, which it hopes will help continue a resurgence of their Corvette-led motorsport program. Everything about it will be race-derived and race-built, from the dry-sumped 6.2L V8, through to the wicked looking aero package.

It’s based on the Camaro ZL1, which already boasts a 0-100km/h time of 3.5 seconds, and it’ll be properly built to meet international GT4 racing standards, so it’ll be fighting the likes of Porsche and Aston Martin for victory. Catch it at a track near you soon.

The Mercedes X-Class is Spotted Doing Winter Testing

Mercedes X-Class

The concept for Mercedes’ wildly anticipated new ute, the X-Class, was met with huge excitement last year. Now, the final model is starting to see the road ahead of its release later this year. Spotted by CarAdvice out doing winter testing, we can see the thin headlights and massive grille have been kept around from the concept’s design.

The X-Class will still be based on the Nissan Navara and built in the same plant, but will feature unique suspension, Mercedes engines and a lower, wider stance. Oh yeah, and for the tradies out there, don’t expect a single-cab version. Sorry!
